  Jon gave us a quote in August 2025 for complete renovation 2 bed bungalow +garage conversion. We got the keys for the house in November. I contacted jon, he was between jobs and said he could start inbetween. Based on a tight budget and his quote he started to work end of Novemver and what he managed to do was to a good standart. Every time I tried to speak to him about payment program he avoided. He asked for a couple of weekly payments for work he did which got paid. After I insisted that weekly payments will drain our budget Jon text me that he will not be comming any more. Job undone.

  The initial figure was a provisional calculation given before purchase. I heard nothing further so no deposit was taken or date booked, as is my process. In November I got a call to start immediately despite my commitment to other work. I attended to help but found works already underway and other trades instructed, which changed the scope entirely. I still assisted on a day to day basis where I could, but without a clear budget or plan in place it was impossible to manage the project properly. I therefore made the professional decision to step away.

  Harlequin has started work on our garage conversion and are doing an amazing job. So efficient. Keeps you informed at all times on the plans of work they will be doing and when. Very knowledgeable and keep their work areas tidy too. They clean and tidy up after every day. Very pleased so far

  Job well done

  Damp patch on lounge ceiling appeared so called Jon from Harlequin interiors he came and found small hole in sealant around shower tray. Resealed it and said use shower so we would know for sure that was the cause of leak. 1 week later damp patch hadn’t got any larger and was drying out. Called Jon who then came back stain blocked ceiling then painted over. Ceiling looking good as new. Fantastic service as always job well done.

  More great work!

  Jon overhauled my rental property to make it a home for my family a year and a half ago. In the last few months he has been back for numerous jobs such as fitting an outside tap, a repaint in my lounge and most importantly rectifying a very smelly downstairs cloakroom. To be very honest it smelt like a public toilet no matter how clean I kept it!! Not nice. He fitted a new toilet and found the problem. The issue was very poor pipe work causing the toilet to leak into the actual substrate. He also laid new flooring and tiled the sink. Another job done well and speedily.

  From disaster zone to cosy home

  I needed to move at very short notice with my 2 daughters. The property was completely trashed by the previous tenant! Jon worked with me by supplying all trades and materials so I could continue to work. He deep cleaned the house, better than I could have! Painted walls and woodwork throughout, fixed the bathroom up with new shower screen and repaired some plumbing issues. He supplied all trades and materials and got the job done in time for move in day!! Carpets , electrics, everything!! We're very happy in our new pad! I wouldn’t hesitate to use Jon in the future.
