Fixing stuck window.

I wasn’t convinced by the experience of the tradesperson who came out as when I explained the issue and what I expected the problem was, the tradesperson continued down what he thought. Even when I was proved right, he took 3 attempts at fixing the problem properly - it felt like he was nervous. In review I shouldn’t have stopped him once he’d opened the window and fixed it myself. Perfectly friendly, but I felt he wasn’t particularly knowledgable. When I discussed the fact I had a replacement part - a gearbox mechanism - the tradesperson said “oooh fancy words”. I felt patronised.

All of our repair technicians are senior window installers with many years experience in uPVC and aluminium windows and doors. Whilst we take on board our customers’ assessments of the fault, our installers are instructed to follow a process and diagnose the issue themselves to be absolutely sure. replacing a variety of windows and a set of french doors with integrated blinds

the fitter, Owen was very reliable and professional. arriving on time each of the 2 days the job took. he always took my needs as a wheelchair user into consideration when installing the new french doors. all windows look great and a vast improvement on the preexisting ones.
