  Plastering and painting done well

  Gus and his crew had to work with a tight deadline and they managed to finish the job within the timeframe committed although it meant working overtime and during two weekends. I am very happy with the plastering job (as there were numerous dents and even outright holes in the walls), and the paint is nice and even. I also asked to smooth out the hideous artex ceiling, and it was done perfectly. Gus kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout the job and he stuck to the cost estimate provided initially. Would definitely use the company again. Everyone was friendly and polite as well.

  Water damaged hallway replaster & paint

  Excellent experience with Gus & his team. Amazing communication from the beginning. Kept me up to date throughout with photos and videos. Highly reliable and trustworthy. Persevered despite multiple setbacks, with good grace, and never made me feel like it was too much hard work for him. All of that, before you even get to the quality of the work and the finish. Gus came round to take a look before finalising a quote. The filling & plaster was so smooth, you couldn't even tell there'd been water damage. The paint and finish was exceptional. Can't recommend highly enough.

  Ceiling plaster repair

  Gus and his plasterer Ben were great. I was working to a very tight timescale and he responded to my enquiry quickly, dropped everything to be there within 48 hours, diagnosed the problem and repaired it that day. The work was carried out to a very high standard and they were both friendly and professional throughout. The quote was a bit higher than usual because of the short notice but given the situation and work carried out, was still fair. I would happily hire GK Decorating again in future.

  Ceiling painting – excellent finish and service

  Gus painted three ceilings for us – two bedrooms and a large, bright living room. We tried tackling it ourselves, but soon realised we needed a professional. From the start, Gus focused on what was genuinely best for us. Others had suggested more work than was necessary, but Gus took a more practical, thoughtful approach – and the results speak for themselves. He’s clearly skilled, diligent, and takes pride in his work. He was also open and happy to explain his process, which I appreciated after trying some DIY myself. We’ll definitely contact Gus again for future decorating work.
