Gus and his plasterer Ben were great. I was working to a very tight timescale and he responded to my enquiry quickly, dropped everything to be there within 48 hours, diagnosed the problem and repaired it that day. The work was carried out to a very high standard and they were both friendly and professional throughout. The quote was a bit higher than usual because of the short notice but given the situation and work carried out, was still fair. I would happily hire GK Decorating again in future.

Gus painted three ceilings for us – two bedrooms and a large, bright living room. We tried tackling it ourselves, but soon realised we needed a professional. From the start, Gus focused on what was genuinely best for us. Others had suggested more work than was necessary, but Gus took a more practical, thoughtful approach – and the results speak for themselves. He’s clearly skilled, diligent, and takes pride in his work. He was also open and happy to explain his process, which I appreciated after trying some DIY myself. We’ll definitely contact Gus again for future decorating work.

We had a water leak that created a hole in the ceiling around a foot in diameter surrounding a light fitting. Gus visited three days in a row to plasterboard over the hole, plaster it and paint the whole ceiling. The ceiling looks immaculate. This is the fourth job Gus has done for us. He has re-plastered and decorated our living room and hallway/landing, and the front exterior of the house. Every time he has taken great care and spent time on the preparation and decoration. This shows when he’s finished the work. Sharp corners, smooth consistent paintwork and attention to detail.

I recently hired Gus to paint my entire ground floor and various others jobs since then. He is a highly skilled painter and decorator. I’m quite particular but Gus standard of finish was exceptional and he was open to feedback to make sure I was always satisfied with the quality of the finish. He is extremely professional and has great communication too which made the job go smoothly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-tier, reliable painter and decorator. You will not be disappointed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.

Can only say that the quality of Gus's work is superb. I hadn't realised that decorating could be done to such a high standard! We discussed in detail the work to be done with Gus and he kept us updated throughout the process. Midway through we decided that the ceiling colour in the 2 bathrooms wasn't right and Gus changed this without any fuss or bother. He had no problems with us checking the work as it progressed although any issues were minor and easily rectified. We intend to get Gus back for further work in the future and we highly recommend him.
