9.67 Slate roof repairs

We had a leak in our 100 year old slate roof, James visited to assess the job and straight away thought he new where the problem was. Returned within a week and fixed it. He could see there were a few other small things that needed doing - slipped slates and ridge tiles that needed repointing - has now returned and sorted for us. Also fitted caps to our chimney pots. James came to look at the work within a couple of days of me posting the job. I had a quote later that day. The work has now been carried out and end result is brilliant. The 14ft X 8ft shed was put up about 10 years ago and the roof was leaking and sagging in the middle. Built small frame inside the shed which raised the roof and re-felted. Received phone call 15 minutes after contacting Check a Trade and 30 minutes later James arrived to give idea as to what was involved. Scaffolding was required and was duly supplied, erected, problem with flashing located and cleared. New flashing was fitted, cemented into position and area cleared and cleaned. GD Property Services
GD Property Services is a small business run by James Godman-Dorington based near Dorchester. James works closely with his clients to offer a full property maintenance and building service. Covering everything from urgent small repairs to extensions and completely new builds using a network of local craftsmen with exceptional reputations for providing the highest quality work. Clients include local Councils, Estate and Letting Agents as well as private homeowners.
The range of building work undertaken includes full design to completion of new builds, extensions, bespoke timber framed buildings and detailed joinery and landscaping. We also undertake partial and full house renovations, roofing (using existing materials and new from traditional tile to cedar and slate), window and Dorma window repairs (from supplying and installing new to general repairs), door hanging (internal and external) including garage doors and large gates, decking, fencing repairs and replacements.
We use traditional techniques, and the level of service and quality of craftsmen is the key to our reputation.
