    We needed two fence panels and a post replacing. The two employees working for the company arrived very promptly, introduced themselves, explained what they needed from us (access to water and electricity) and set about working. Within a couple of hours they were done with the work. They were pleasant and easy to chat with, and their work was top notch - sturdy post, good installation, and they cleaned up after themselves, even removing the ruins of the old fence panels/post. 10/10 would definitely hire again!

    John and his team did an excellent job replacing a garden gate and fence for my elderly Dad. John liaised with me as requested, visiting the site, providing an estimate and reduced the final invoice as not all materials were required. Extremely reliable and very friendly work men. Clean and tidy, despite the bad weather. Highly recommend Fence Man John.

    Really pleased with the excellent work carried out by John's team. Very happy with how the wooden fence, with the gravel boards and posts, was installed. The guys doing the work were pleasant and hard working.

Thank you for visiting our profile. Fence Man John provides attractive, high-quality fencing that's built to last.


We specialise in post and rail fencing and fencing repair work. We can erect a variety of fencing, including both panel and trellis.

We have over 14 years’ experience and have established a good, local reputation, mainly through word of mouth and recommendation. We look to build fences that not only look great but stand the test of time. We use treated timber wherever possible and can also carry out custom work. We can create any size panel with bespoke construction.


We never quote over the phone and always insist on seeing the job before providing an estimate - that way you're sure of a fair price and a great personal service. We aim to provide all estimates in writing within 7 days of our visit.


We also offer a free service to erect security panels to secure your garden until any work has been completed, we do however only have a limited amount of these Herras panels, so booking is recommended.


We do make our own featheredge panels, so we can make these to any size- within reason, we can also fit these panels into existing concrete posts where there are over hanging obstructions like trees and over hanging roof's.

We can solve most problems, some that others walk away from.
