  Excellent work, flexible, professional and personable...

  Whole process from quote to completion has been fantastic. We discussed at length the job during the quote phase, but when presented with an opportunity for a more "elegant" solution for the boiler, we agreed together on the small uplift on costs to cover additional pipework required and pressed ahead with the plan. He has kept me informed and regularly discussed the work he was doing so I could understand in more detail, something I found very useful. The end job was nothing short of a pipework masterclass, I am incredibly impressed with the pride he takes in his work and attention to detail.

  Indirect unvented cylinder replacement

  Darran replaced an indirect unvented cylinder for us. The work was completed to a high standard, including correcting some problems with the previous installation. Very happy with the work, and would certainly recommend.

  Very rude and aggressive

  I recently gave a good review to this man, today the tank he fixed leaked so I phoned him to ask for help. I was met with a tirade of abuse and he said that he had done me a favour by coming out, despite him contacting me via Checkatrade. .After he calmed down he apologised and agreed to come out and check things for me. He then made me to send him photos and then phoned me to say I would probably need a new water tank and that he couldn’t do the work for weeks, he then told me he would not be coming out as it was nothing to do with him. He clearly did not do the work I paid for properly.

  I shall be contacting Checkatrade regarding this negative review . The problem in the first instance was a leaking drain valve, which I fixed . The recall , which I haven’t attended due to time constraints , is a separate issue . I asked the customer to check the original issues and she informed me that this was dry . The problem from the photos that were sent to me is an internal issue in the cylinder .

  Excellent Plumber

  I discovered that my water tank was leaking this morning. I posted my job on Checkatrade in a bit of a panic and got an almost immediate call from Darran, He came out within a couple of hours and resolved the problem. I can't recommend DS highly enough, problem found and sorted within hours. Brilliant service that saved me from major stress so thank you DS Plumbing I wouldn't hesitate to use you again for my plumbing needs.

  Call out for gas leak

  Darran was fantastic. We had a large escape of gas which was picked up when we had our smart meter fitted. The original gas inspection company didn’t want to come and inspect so we outsourced an independent gas engineer. Darran was quick to come out and inspect the situation. He located all areas of escape and rectified them. He also installed a new gas hob for us. Very chatty, great worker and will keep him on our books for all future gas/plumbing works.
