  Unacceptable behaviour

  Had to pay £30 for a survey leading to a quote. No other firms were interested and feedback seemed favourable. Guy who came out appeared to understand the garage door. A previous firm had already done an emergency job and we knew we needed new tracking. Took some time to get quite and it included an unnecessary and expensive electrical equipment of over £500. Asked for quite with only necessary tracking but *parts were unavailable* Suddenly. Yeah...

  We attended a customer's property for a £30 assessment fee to diagnose a faulty door, as the necessary information wasn't available beforehand. The fee was intended to be deducted from any subsequent repair or replacement costs. Upon inspection, they discovered a missing part and noted the door's operating system was obsolete. We agreed to try and source the missing part while also providing a quote for a system upgrade for future reference, clarifying it wasn't an immediate necessity. When the part proved difficult to find, we proposed a functional and previously successful alternative: bending the door's guides. To proceed with this repair, the customer would have needed to pay the remaining balance of a full-service charge, which would have included a one-year labor guarantee. The customer refused this proposal. As a gesture of goodwill, the company then offered to perform the basic repair to get the door functioning free of charge, without the full service and associated guarantee. The company believes the subsequent negative review is unfair, given their efforts and final free-of-charge offer.

  New Electric Garage Door

  We contacted a number of installers and received varying responses.The best of these was from Doormatic Garage Doors. An appointment was made and the surveyor arrived on time and proceeded to give us good advice on an exact replacement or change of style. After receiving a detailed quote which was extremely competitive which fitted our budget, we accepted the quote for a different design to what we already had. The fitters arrived on time and proceeded to replace the existing door with our new door without any fuss or drama to our exact specification.

  Fitted a new garage motor with 2 remotes.

  James was really kind and professional. Also very patient. Our garage door works perfectly and is less noisier than our old motor. The job was done in less than an hour. Grateful and happy customers we are, thank you ever so much!

  I recommend this company without hesitation. They were pleasant and helpful when I first got in touch, and subsequently as a replacement door was ordered and installed. The actual installation was speedy and well done.

  Helpful professional surveyor. Ordering very straightforward. Company good communication on the whole however please note they require full payment before installation of the work. Overall, a good company to work with and their work was of a very good standard. I would recommend and use again.
