    Currys Repair Review

    I booked a one-off £149 repair with Currys after my Care Plan had expired. The fee covered call-out, parts, and labour. Although the fridge freezer couldn’t be fixed, Currys refunded £74 and gave me a £25 goodwill voucher, a generous and hassle-free resolution. The engineer was professional, polite, and very helpful. The whole process was surprisingly easy, even for someone like me! 10/10

    Tumble dryer has a high pitched whining when drum is turning

    After stripping down the dryer the engineer couldn't find the fault and suspected it could be the drum or the motor. I said I was told the drum wasn't included in the price so to put it back together and I'd get a refund minus the callout and £25 voucher for currys. I've gone to use the dryer a few days later and steam is billowing out soaking the floor. I've had to strip it back down to find he hadn't connected the filter holder to the extractor. Wouldn't recommend Curry's repairs.

    Dishwasher repair

    Awful experience. 6 weeks and not done, with no shows, not bringing parts, and finally damaging the screws / hinges and my outer cupboard door. Request for manager call came to nothing - they didn’t call.

How does Currys Repairs work?

We’ll organize for one of our repair experts to visit your home as soon as possible. Once we’ve diagnosed the problem over the phone and already know what parts are needed, we’ll arrange for the expert to visit as soon as the parts are available. This makes the repair process really simple. Since we’ve already diagnosed the problem and will turn up with the parts we need, we’ll have the best chance of fixing your tech on our first visit.


I didn’t buy my item from Currys; can I still arrange a repair with you?

Yes, you can! Regardless of where you bought your item, we’ll do our very best to repair it successfully. Please note, this depends on us being able to get the replacement parts your item requires


What are my options if my item can’t be repaired?

We'll do our very best to fix your broken appliance, but sometimes an item is beyond repair, or we can't get hold of the parts required to fix it. In these instances, we’ll refund the amount you paid, excluding a non-refundable call out fee. We’ll explain why your appliance couldn’t be repaired and give you a Currys eGift Card to spend on a new appliance (the credit on the e-Gift Card must be used within three months of its issue). This is available to all customers that have purchased a one-off repair with us.


Are there any brands or appliances you cannot repair?

We repair a wide range of household appliances, including washing machines, tumble dryers, fridge and freezers, ovens, cookers, hobs and dishwashers. However, we do not fix appliances from Miele or Fisher & Paykel. Also, we are unable to repair faulty or broken tubs.
