Gareth replaced multiple cills in a bay window after some leaks appeared due to some poor quality work done by some ‘window experts’ who didn’t do a great job. Gareth diagnosed the mistakes and did a brilliant job replacing the cills, correcting the mistakes made and sealing everything all done to a brilliantly high standard. He talked us through everything and generally was a complete pleasure to work with. Absolutely professional came when they said they would, provided detailed estimate, explained works to be carried out, time and dates available for works, tidied up after each day's work, removed all rubbish materials once works completed, clean, tidy and brilliant work, pleasant company to work with, nothing was ever too much trouble. Job location: BN1Gareth is a true expert and craftsman and fixed the cords in my sash window quickly and with great care. He also advised on another window that needs attention in my victorian property. It has taken so long to find someone this good and shall be using Craftmandship Sash Windows in the future. Rachel was also excellent and very quick to respond to emails. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Our Traditional Timber Craftsman, Gareth, has worked on some of Brighton & Hove's most historic buildings, from 17th-century barn buildings to the crafting of the beautiful replica Victorian oak doors that you see today at Brighton Town Hall, to complex architectural joinery work on the beautiful Regency windows of the landmark 19th-century building at Wykeham Terrace. Brighton born, and combining all three important qualities of a knowledgeable, creative Joiner (qualifications, breadth of experience & the highest level of skill) - and with a love and natural flair for all things wood - he is the only local Period Property Craftsman with both a wooden boat building and antique restoration background. With our timber expertise, you can therefore be assured that we apply the same skill, care, and technology to preserving Brighton's original period windows (susceptible to rot from our harsh climate and exposed seafront location) as we do to a beautiful timber boat, as the appearance of a joint is as important as its strength.
