Broken socket was causing the rest of the sockets to trip which was also stopping the boiler from working. Contacted Cotswold and explained the problem. Arrived at the time agreed, letting me know he was on his way and completed the work including fully testing it efficiently. Price was as agreed on initial contact. Mark carried out a complete rewire of our home with great efficiency and professionalism. He was always happy to answer any questions we had and even offered helpful suggestions when it came to purchasing new appliances. We reached out to Mark in need of a new fuse box, he surveyed the whole house and made recommendations we otherwise wouldn’t have noticed until it was too late and things stopped working! Mark was very professional, his recommendations didn’t feel like up-selling at all, just genuine interest in providing the best service possible. Mark did an excellent job installing new downlights in the kitchen. He recommended location and fittings and added another light spotting after spotting it was dark in one corner. He added LED lights to our kitchen cabinets and it's really transformed the space. Now one switch controls the downlights, LED under the cabinet and our living room lamp with dimming capability. I am a 37-year-old electrician with 16 years’ experience in a variety of applications. I completed an apprenticeship combining some domestic work as well as commercial works such as hotels and shopping centres.
I then spent several years gaining experience as a first and second fix access control, fire alarm, intruder alarm & IP CCTV systems engineer before returning to mains electrical works. The previous experience however did give me a thorough grounding in controls systems, whether that be heating controls or signals. It gave me an insight into data networking and since then I have offered a first fix data and AV service to builders.
I have been in the Gloucestershire area 4 years.
Previously I spent 5 and a half years working on prestigious high-end projects in Central London as the main electrical contractor. To begin with I provided an installation and maintenance service then as the main contractor grew, I moved into more of an electrical design and installation role.
The projects involved total renovations of Georgian/Victorian era homes, including basement fit outs. As well as modern apartments and more traditional countryside homes. The installations have involved upgrades to three phase installations due to the higher electrical demand of these properties.
I have experience with steam rooms, saunas, and swimming pools. I have been responsible for the entire electrical installation, root, and branch from design to installation, including networked heating control systems, Audio Visual systems, garden lights, as well as providing economical and effective LED lighting and dimming systems.
I also offer landlord certificates and emergency lighting maintenance and accept card payments for call outs.
I moved to the Southwest away from London to be closer to my family who have all slowly moved from the south east to the south west. Where we have now started a family. Give me a call for your jobs big and small!
