10 Damp proofing hallway

Eddie did an excellent job damp-proofing our hallway! He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and kept the area clean throughout. He installed damp proofing membrane, then finished with a smooth plaster coat that blended perfectly. The walls are drying as expected, and the damp surely be gone. Eddie explained everything clearly and gave helpful aftercare advice. Hi, my name is Eddie and I've been a plasterer for over 35 years, having been taught in Ireland by my father, a master plasterer with over 50yrs experience.
I've just re-joined Checkatrade after taking time off while waiting for a hip replacement.
I am a Certified British Gypsum plasterer and spent 3 years working for them as an assessor, checking and mediating on the work standards of plasterers throughout the UK.
This is what made me realize the amount of substandard work taking place.
The amount of SCAM RISING DAMP jobs I had to mediate on was SHOCKING.
In the VAST MAJORITY of cases, no chemical Damp course injection is needed.
Unscrupulous contractors are conning people in to have a DPC injected where it isn't necessary.
If you get a "diagnosis" of rising damp, please call me, I can almost certainly guarantee you the damp is caused by something else.
We specialize on the common damp issues suffered by the downstairs flats in the WARNER ESTATE
However, if you do insist, which we do NOT generally recommend, on a new DPC being injected, we can carry this out using the Dry zone from Safeguard method.
