WHAT WE DO at 'By-Julian' :

Structural Calculations and Survey Reports on both Domestic & Commercial Properties. We also provide Expert Witness services.

Our projects range from small internal alterations on domestic properties, to extensions and new build developments through to larger internal alteration and refurbishment projects on commercial premises.

We have our own trades team to refer to directly.

We provide 3D scans to enhance our surveys and we can also provide thermal imagery and videos to identify 'Hot' high cost energy loss areas and 'Cold' spots where damp might be forming and moulds growing.

PROCESS

We always visit a property.

When we receive notification that we have been 'short-listed', we will call you, take your details, undertake a 'discovery phase' to better understand your project, make an appointment and send you out a quote for the work. We have fixed fees and will calculate our fees and will identify an appropriate budget cost of your proposed works. We then ask that you discuss this with us if needed and then sign and return your acceptance for us to proceed.

We can assess and design your project and then help to deliver it. We can undertake pre-project surveys to identify risks and opportunities, for all property types. We love referrals and we talk to our clients as equals. We always visit a site.

Repair and renovation are also our speciality. We understand that no two projects are the same, hence our bespoke attitude. You can also bring us into your project if there is a need for ‘Structural Rescue’.

One of our Principals, Julian Carter is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow, FICE; he has spent over 30 years in the Industry in the Wakefield/Yorkshire area. He has served as an Expert Witness and is accepted by UK Statutory Authorities and Lending organisations as a competent witness.
