    Burns moved us from Kent to Surrey.

    We moved from a 4 bedroom house into a 2 bedroom bungalow. What was a very stressful day was made a lot easier for us with Burns. Fantastic men, nothing too much trouble and with a sense of humour. They worked extremely hard. Very highly recommended.

    The guys were punctual, they removed everything from my house, garden and shed inside 3 hours. Moved the whole lot further up the country without breaking anything. I would definitely recommend them for any removal, the price was right and with 44 years experience in that industry they certainly knew what they were doing

    A big thanks to Rob and Mark for moving mum from her house to new flat on what was probably the hottest day of 2024. There were 24 steps to negotiate at the house plus lifts and ramps at the flat. The level of service was highly professional from start to finish and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone else.

    Home moving

    Really excellent service. Very flexible while I waited for a completion date and easy to get in touch with. They arrived on time on moving day, all very friendly and careful with my belonging plus super quick. I also have to thank them for their patience as it took so long to get the keys to my new home - but they were great about it. It was so helpful to have them dismantle and reassemble some of the furniture too. Out of three quotes I got from different companies, theirs was the best and I would definitely recommend them

Our founder Reg Burns worked in the removal trade for more than fifty years and still, he remains at the heart of the company, moving families into their new homes as Burns Removal Services since 1982.


Sadly Reg passed away in 2018, but his son Rob (me) continued the work to the high standards Reg had set. At various times both of Rob's sons, his daughters, his nephew and his uncle have worked to maintain the family moving business tradition. As a company we have been trading for 40 years through thick and thin! In the early years we learnt our trade on corporate moves, fully export packing household goods and effects prior to be sent across the world. Nowadays, we retain the packing skills learnt back then but apply them to the local removals that we now specialise in.


For the last twenty years we have moved hundreds of families all over the country and into Europe, even the odd one around the world! We can move the largest mansion down to a single item.
