    Top Service from a Friendly, Professional Removal Company

    Burns Removals were able to respond to a very short notice request to move an elderly lady from her house to a retirement complex. They attended on the day of the enquiry to do a home visit and gave an immediate, very acceptable quote. On the day the two guys, Robby and Aaron, were punctual, hard-working, professional and friendly. Due to the design of the building and lack of lifts, they were required to carry every item up the stairs to the first floor. They remained unfailingly friendly and cheerful, despite the extra effort required and some heavy rain. Thank you very much.

    The Burns removals guys will do exactly what you need. Despite some challenges (out via lift, into a house with 4 floors, American Style fridge etc) they made it look easy. Just a reminder to everyone to mark every box's destination room as it may not end up with everything in the right place. However, the Burn's guys did ask whenever possible when something wasn't clear. All in all, great job.

Our founder Reg Burns worked in the removal trade for more than fifty years and still, he remains at the heart of the company, moving families into their new homes as Burns Removal Services since 1982.


Sadly Reg passed away in 2018, but his son Rob (me) continued the work to the high standards Reg had set. At various times both of Rob's sons, his daughters, his nephew and his uncle have worked to maintain the family moving business tradition. As a company we have been trading for 40 years through thick and thin! In the early years we learnt our trade on corporate moves, fully export packing household goods and effects prior to be sent across the world. Nowadays, we retain the packing skills learnt back then but apply them to the local removals that we now specialise in.


For the last twenty years we have moved hundreds of families all over the country and into Europe, even the odd one around the world! We can move the largest mansion down to a single item.
