    Very good communication and explanation of what was required and what he would do. Answered all my questions clearly and honestly. High quality work with the most up to date equipment. RICCS accreditation. Very reasonable price. I would definitely use him again.

    I have used BC Surveying to carry out three L3 surveys over the last 6 months. Billy has significant knowledge and experience in this field. The reports are extremely thorough. The report picks up from significant issues to the smallest issues, even a chip in the door. The three reports I have received are unique to each property and definitely not a cut and paste like you may get with other surveyors. Billy took time to go through all the reports and clarified my concerns and things I did not understand. I strongly recommend BC Surveying! Thank you Billy and team!

My name is Billy Clarke MCIOB, AssocRICS.


I am a Sole practitioner, Independent Surveyor.


I have been in the Residential sector for 21+ years now.


I am the owner of B.C Surveying Hertfordshire Ltd.


I’m also a chartered Builder with my own construction company that builds new and large extensions and carries out structural works.


I believe this allows me to offer superior knowledge and expertise in my surveying for that extra depth and detail for my clients.


I carry out many types of surveys for clients, these include:


  • Condition survey & reports for cracks, damp, roofing & Leak damage etc.
  • RICS Homebuyers Level 2 & Level 3 surveys with reports.
  • Drainage CCTV Jetting surveys.
  • Drone Surveys of chimney, lead flashings, gutterings, roof coverings with a report.
  • Snag Lists.

Contract administration Includes:


  • Help selecting a contractor
  • Help with selecting & signing JCT Contracts
  • Valuations Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly or as required.
  • Issuing of payment Certificates for completed works to British standards.
  • Issuing of Pay Less notices.
  • Variations inc valuing these and negotiating with Contractors/Sub-Contractors.
  • Release of retention.
  • Dilapidations for Landlords (Residential)
