    Resolving a blocked bathroom waste pipe and also a leak around the plug

    I’ve spoken to three members of the Baker Smith team and all presented as knowledgeable, honest and friendly. The plumber was quickly able to locate the blockage and offer solutions to fix that and the leak.

    Shower repair was carried out. Unfortunately there were still issues with the water going cold. I contacted Baker Smith and they offered additional assistance to fit a replacement shower.

    Leaking radiator valve

    Baker Smith Limited replied to my request for repair of a leaking radiator valve extremely quickly. A quote was given and a plumber was booked for the next day with the expected time given. This was followed up by a confirmation email. The plumber was extremely professional and polite and the job was completed and any mess made tided up. He explained what he was doing and gave advice on what may need to be done in the future. I would definitely use Baker Smith Limited again.

    Partial repair and then blanked.

    An engineer attended and fixed one issue with our shower. Unfortunately they failed to address the main issue of it frequently going freezing cold. I contacted the office again to ask what could be done in this situation and received no response. I feel utterly ripped off - partially having paid a large sum for a partial repair, but mostly for being ignored after requesting next steps or for the repair to be completed.

    Good afternoon Amy. Firstly, may I apologise that no-one has come back to you, may I ask when you phoned us? I can see that the job was carried out on Thursday 5th. March but we have no record of a call since then. If you would contact us and explain the nature of the problem I am sure we will be able to help or at least recommend a further course of action. This experience has enabled us to provide a service that satisfies the requirements of both our Private Clients, Managing Agents and Landlords alike. We are one of the leading plumbing and heating companies in & around the Hertfordshire with experienced plumbers always available on call.

We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service organised by our outstanding and friendly Customer Support Team who will cater to all your requirements.

All our engineers are fully qualified, most with Gas Safe qualifications, and they take pride in their work from start to finish be it a full central heating installation, complete bathroom or simply routine plumbing and maintenance. We apply the same attention to detail on each job we attend.

If required we can offer a completely free quotation for most of our services.

We are part of the Part “P” Register and Gas Safe Register. We are pleased to offer a 24/7 day/night call out service, providing emergency evening/weekend and bank holiday cover.
