2.67 718 pounds for a simple toilet change, with callout charge that was not relevant

work scheduled for am 15/9/2025, from previous week. No show, no courtesy call until midday next day 16/9/2025, despite my son making himself available to oversee. Arrived within 30 mins, but immediately started a clock, despite spending time on the phone that was not associated with me. agreed no callout charge. Simply had to provide a basic toilet and remove the old. disappeared 3 times for parts. appeared disorganised, as was the inside of his van. Worked slowly, even with payment/invoice work. slyly added a 95pound callout as "sundries". I am an 88 yr old and did not spot that.Verified reviewerJob location: UB39.67 Excellent service!

We recently called the company for what we thought was a simple leaking shower repair only to find after Will's investigation that it would turn out to be a much larger job than we anticipated. Admittedly the work was expensive but we cannot fault the service. The knowledge and expertise shared with us as customers was very helpful, they went above and beyond and all the work was explained accounting for previous installation faults that required correction. I have never in my lifetime ever felt the need to leave a bad review of a tradesman, and so I type this with a degree of sadness. I contacted the company asking that he attend my mother’s address to give a quote for a new shower. It was never to do any work, just a quote. I must add that my mum is 85 years old and in very bad health. I was told that there would be a call out charge which I accepted of 70.00. What actually ended up happening is that he spent around an hour at the property, doing no actual work and charged my mum £214.00!!!! I called a plumber to carry out what I thought were two fairly simple jobs. The plumber arrived exactly on time and clearly knew what he was doing. On investigation one of the jobs proved much more complex than foreseen. The plumber worked out a good solution and fetched the necessary parts from a stockist. It took him quite a while to get the parts and complete a complicated installation. Everything is now working well. The plumber was at all times friendly and helpful. I can provide free quote / estimate over the phone or can provide a home visit where *a consultation fee will be required* which WILL-NOT include free diagnostics.
All charges are clearly explained prior to booking - labour, parts, vat, parking etc.
Due to changes in current times a callout fee will be charged as of 1st June 2023 & will vary from area to area & time of call.
Times of operation 24 hrs - 7 days a week.
Evenings, weekends & bank holidays are charged at a higher rate.
I pride myself on offering excellent service with aftercare second to none:
- General plumbing
- Repairs - Taps, Garden taps, toilets, Leaks
- Power Flushing - deep system cleaning, HOT Flush (boiler not used)
- Radiators - replacement, moved & removed
- Under floor heating repairs
