    Beautiful restoration of old floor

    Great experience! Our boards were in very bad shape, the team gave us a full breakdown of options and what to expect. They provided great aftercare, giving us details of how to look after it and returning to do some touch-ups once dried. Very happy with the finished product!

    I would definitely recommend Academy. Rod and his team were friendly, good communicators and conscientious. They worked really hard to finish our flooring and were happy to help with moving heavy furniture around. They worked on our flooring while we were living in the house and they minimised the disruption to our lives as much as they could. We're really happy with the results of the work too.

    Great company to work with

    My whole upstairs flooring was creaky, uneven and approaching 50 years old. Rod and his team replaced the whole lot to a high standard and even identified and carried out additional joist support plus insulation. Really professional company to work with and the guys did a great job clearing up after themselves once work was completed. And I had a full breakdown of costs and materials so I was really well informed the whole way.

    Excellent service!

    Rod & the team have done an amazing job fixing our wooden floor after we foolishly spilled bleach on it. They managed to colour-match the original floor colour in a way that the damage, which looked horrendous at the beginning, is now virtually invisible. When it turned out that the initial floor sealant they had applied was not sufficient, they came back without a fuss to ensure everything was properly sealed. This is outstanding service and great craftsmanship. I would strongly recommend them!

    Rod & his team were great! We originally thought we would restore the floors under the carpet but it appeared they were taken out so we had to pivot. Rod was very knowledgeable, honest and upfront and answered all of our questions. We appreciated the level of communication we had, how they accommodated our timeline, the quality of the output, and the job was well priced!

My name is Rod Johnson and I'm the owner of Academy Flooring Services, Thanks for looking at our page, I have three excellent teams trained and qualified to undertake your requirements.

I have over 23 years of experience in the Flooring industry and specialise in all types of wood floor restoration from Reclaimed floorboards to parquet flooring.

I deal with all types of wood floor colouring which ranges from bespoke dyeing to coloured oiling using a multitude of different methods and techniques to acheive the optimum finish at an affordable cost.

We can also provide Damp proof membranes, Latex screeding, structural work including joist repairs and replacement. We also supply and fit skirting, beading and concrete fireplace hearth removal.

We also offer competative rates for reclaimed pine floorboards supplied and fitted if required.
