Bailey Curtis has been working for his family business for 8 years today. Here he is cleaning a beautiful hand knotted Persian wool rug for our client in Hurley, between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. The rug has been thoroughly dusted and vacuumed to remove all dry soils prior to being cleaned using our full immersion cleaning process, which is the recommended way to clean this type of rug and the only way to ensure the safest and the best results.
Our client in Henley-on-Thames had tried to remove a red wine stain using white wine and salt. We took the rug to our rug cleaning facility in Bradfield, between Newbury and Reading, where we tested it for Colour fastness, fully dusted and power vacuumed to remove all dust, grit and other dry soils. Only then did we start to remove all the various solutions previously used by the client, treated and removed the red wine stain, clean the whole rug using the recommended and most thorough full immersion rug cleaning technique. The only way to remove dog or cat urine from a Silk rug is to neutralise the pet urine in a full immersion rug bath, then rinse the urine fully from the rug. Sometimes the rinse process has to be repeated ten or more times to ensure all the pet urine is completely removed.
