Tenant called me Saturday night saying smoke coming from socket. Called Able Group and booked in emergency visit for arrival within 2 hours. Electrician swapped out the socket and checked all was safe. Job done quickly, reasonably rates considering it was a Saturday evening. Telephone person very helpful. Electrician came in the time frame and carried out the work well. Left the work areas clean and tidy. Apart from a discrepancy with the bill, which was sorted with one phone call, I couldn't have been happier. I called on behalf of my elderly mother to fix a new light fitting issue. I called the company and was informed that the call out to fix the light would be £150 plus VAT and any materials. The engineer arrived. We informed him of the issue that the light was not working. He checked the cables, the switch and dimmer switch, found the issue was a cracked cable on the main switch fixed it and charged us £408 The reason was that after the initial callout request of “install a light” (£150) every additional thing was £90 per action - Check switch, disconnect dimmer and we were only told afterwardVerified reviewerJob location: BR1Response from Able Group - Electricians
