  Alan is the most professional, reliable, personable and knowledgable plumber/drain consultant that we have ever used. He replied to a query instantly, turned up exactly when he said, showed us the problem with his hi-tech gear, provided a solution and approximate costing straight away. I would recommend him and his services to anyone. Easily the best professional we have ever used, and we will use him again without worry.

  Excellent attention to detail

  Had a blockage in my on-suite meaning the waste water in the sink had nowhere to go excent coming out of my on-suite shower plughole which my plumber could not unblock with his kit of acid and a plunger. Spoke to Alan from 1st Porter Call, who made me clear of the possible costs. He attended very quickly, identified the issue was caused by the build up of scale in the internal pipes and cleared the issue. I would highly recommend using this Alan and his team - Brilliant

  Great Service

  We were recommended to get a drain survey done and I was given Alan’s contact details. I contacted him and he responded the same day and arranged to attend the next morning which I thought was great service. Alan carried out the drain survey, explained clearly what he was doing and demonstrated what he had found and carried out remedial work there and then which has resolved the issue. I couldn’t have asked for better service, reasonably priced and a very open and honest approach. Highly recommended.

  Camera survey of drainage for house purchase

  Contacted Alan as was looking to purchase a property that had no manhole access on site and a public sewer to the rear. Alan arranged with the seller to get a camera survey of the rear public sewer from the neighbouring property and provided an accurate report and visual record of the sewer, it's depth, location and condition. The private drainage was more problematic as access only available from a rodding point, but managed to survey and reveal an issue at the boundary with the neighbouring property. Alan liaised with the neighbour to get it resolved. Good report including CCTV and sketch

  Toilet unblocking

  Alan was brilliant, he kept in contact with me, arrived on time, was transparent about the cost and persisted until the job was done even when one of his machinery failed - he went away, had it fixed, then came back to get the job done. Would recommend without hesitation.
