  Replacing valve for washing machine water supply

  Job was well done in the end, though a little more expensive than I was expecting. The admin side was disappointing. Organising and confirming the appointment was painstaking with multiple calls which suggested members of the team did not communicate with each other or update records sufficiently and changes to my appointment were poorly handled - confirmation emails were either inaccurate or not sent.

  Leaking bath and shower

  DO NOT USE HOMEFIX! The plumber didn’t spot the problem at first, so he filled my bath to the brim with water, pulled the plug and then I had water coming through my light sockets. When the job was done, he asked me to sign his time sheet, then I was sent a contract with my signature on, claiming that I waived my rights to claim damages against the company. I then found that we still had a leak, had a second visit and they fixed the problem but suggested I might be charged again rather than under their warranty. After complaining, 4 weeks later, still no formal response.

  Gas boiler service and “O” ring to be replaced (we have the part)

  We had the gas boiler serviced but unfortunately the engineer was unable to replace the “O” as this was not on his job list. I specifically asked for both jobs to be completed and this was confirmed to me on the telephone. I would not have chosen a company that could not do both jobs. I feel disappointed as I paid up front and still have part of my job needing to be completed.

  Replacement toilet flushing system inside cistern

  Very prompt response to request and job booked in for the next morning (thank you Alice). Excellent communication prior to arrival on the day. Detailed explanation given of issue (by Ollie) what needed replacing and a quote. Friendly and professional service from Ollie and Henry who undertook the work. Thank you to both of you! Would highly recommend this company.

  Inflated prices

  Although the company was easy to use and helpful, we were heavily overquoted for work we had done. Plumber booked us for a day and was gone within 2hrs. Would be very cautious if using them and their tradespeople.

  Excellent drain unblocking

  Completely blocked external kitchen drain. Work was done quickly and drain has been flowing normally ever since. The work was done efficiently, and the area was left clean and tidy. I was very happy with the work done, and would recommend 0800 Homefix Ltd to anyone requiring help with blocked drains.
