    Plumbing issues

    We recently used this plumbing company in our new home, and I honestly cannot recommend them enough. From start to finish, everything was handled smoothly, quickly, and professionally. James attended our property twice — once for an emergency call-out and again to complete the outstanding works needed. On both occasions, he arrived on time first thing in the morning, which was greatly appreciated as we didn’t have to wait around all day.     Soil stack repair

    We had a great experience. They were very quick to respond and fix the leaking soil stack. The person who carried out the work took the time to clearly explain everything that needed to be done. The repair was completed efficiently and to a high standard.

    Avoid. I felt like I'd been scammed.

    Extortionate and misleading pressure selling. I was given a "discounted" first hour rate for a simple plumbing job which I had to pay upfront (£120). Upon arrival, I was given a fixed price to complete the job, total £407. The work was completed in a couple of hours, with the only materials being an small elbow joint and some liquid for the heating system. On the plus side, the work seemed to be good quality, and the engineer was punctual and friendly. Checkatrade doesn't seem to allow a rating for price (why?), so I've reflected the price in my ratings.

    Would never use again

    Asked by 0800 Homefix to pay upfront for expensive work when booking. In the end, a leak was actually found on an exposed pipe directly under the boiler and required only a minor repair. 0800 admitted in writing that the booking was an 'internal error' but despite this admission, they have ignored multiple requests for a partial refund or an accurate invoice. Their refusal to provide correct paperwork is now preventing my insurance claim. Extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability. Tbf the person who actually fixed the minor repair was excellent.

    Had a great experience with Oly and James replacing our boiler. They were both incredibly professional, friendly, and honest throughout the whole process. They took the time to explain everything clearly, gave really helpful advice, and you could tell they genuinely cared about doing a good job rather than just rushing through it. Really pleased with their work and would highly recommend them!
