  Overpromise, overprice, under deliver

  Job was to rip out a patch of grass and replace it with slate. According to them there was more mud than expected & I wanted a new slab put in near my door so the quote went up- from £800 to £3500. ridiculous looking back at it. I imagine to"justify" this cost they called in extra men and a grabber truck to remove the waste, neither of which I asked them to do as I wasn't in a rush for the job to be done quickly. when work was done they left a mess which we agreed would be cleared up- never happened and I did it myself. the slab had boot prints left in it and debris& CEMENT got onto the slate
