  Arrived on time. Very thorough search all round the house and in the loft for signs of rat or mouse activity. Explained everything that he found. Put down bait and traps and a blocker in the external drain. Very pleasant and efficient. Made a date to return and check again if anything further needs doing like blocking up various possible entry routes. So far no noises have been heard and the bait and traps are untouched. He explained that it was a rat and that they usually enter via the drain at night. It certainly looks like it has worked.
