  Smart Thermostat installation

  I was looking to have two Tado room thermostats supplied and fitted, posted the job on Checkatrade and had Eddie reach out to me. We discussed the job via email and replies were always prompt, polite and professional. The work was carried out by an electrician. He arrived on time, removed the old thermostats and installed new ones - a straightforward task, but done with care and attention to detail. Respectful treatment of my home and no rubbish left behind. Paperwork, ie, invoice and payment receipt also promptly provided. This is how it's meant to be! Thank you very much!

  Fence Post Replacement

  Fence blew down during storm Eowyn so I contacted EGL for a repair job involving replacement of 5 fence posts. They were responsive and provided a quick quote, even had availability within a couple of days of initial contact to carry out the repair. Job was scheduled for morning but got delayed to late afternoon, which resulted in fence practically being hung in the dark and too soon after concreting posts. One post was wobbly again after just a month, no luck getting the company back out to fix this - messages ignored. Had to pay someone else to sort out. Disappointed and won't recommend.

  Decking installation and fence post repair

  Contacted C&G for an estimate in relation to the supply and installation of decking. Responded promptly and professionally, with a formal written quote (not the standard these days, unfortunately) - the job was carried out over the last two days and I'm very happy with the work and service received. John Joe & team were reliable, friendly, tidy, respectful and worked to my budget. Great customer service and communication. Wouldn't hesitate to use C&G again - they even fixed a fence post put up by another company a month ago that had already become wobbly again after such a short time.
