  Built bespoke coat cupboard and understairs drawers, Installed kitchen units

  We've previously used Jordan to supply and fit doors around the house. This time we wanted to increase our storage by; 1) Building and fitting under-stairs drawers with a utility space. 2) Replace a large hallway coat rack with a bespoke cupboard and seat with integrated lighting, utilising an existing alcove. 3) Install Wren kitchen units in another alcove in the kitchen. Jordan had some great suggestions from the initial planning, and his team did a great job getting everything built off-site and fitted within a tight timeframe. We'd happily use J Harris Carpentry again.

  Emergency understairs tiling solution

  We renovated to improve storage in our hallway and kitchen. The carpenters removed a cupboard and found it had been built before the ground floor was tiled. We contacted Chris, who scheduled a visit to fix the issue while work continued. We lacked enough spare tiles, which were no longer available, so Chris suggested using some hallway spares that looked different but tied in aesthetically, avoiding an apparent mismatch. Chris was realistic about what could be done, communicated well, and completed the small job quickly and effectively, which we appreciated. I'd happily hire Chris again.

  Dishwasher heating element replaced

  We contacted Southern Domestic Services after our dishwasher stopped heating water during a cycle. Frazer arrived promptly to diagnose the fault. Once the replacement part had been sourced, he arrived at the agreed time to replace the faulty part. I appreciated that Frazer was very polite and considerate, wearing shoe protectors when entering our property. Communication was very good too, with times arranged to visit and texts letting me know when he was on his way. I'm really happy with the service and would happily use Southern Domestic Services again in the future.

  They were relatively small jobs we needed doing but Yi and his apprentice were both very professional. They arrived when they said they would, carried the work out to a high standard and were friendly while doing so. I'd happily use them again and would recommend them to others also. Thanks very much.

  Pergola designed and built

  We contacted Mr Devereaux at Careful Carpentry for a quotation to design and build a pergola in our garden and straight away knew he was the right person for the job. We were very impressed with his knowledge of which types of wood could be used and the pros and cons of each; structural considerations, aesthetics, how they would age, costs etc, which many of the carpenters we had approached previously never mentioned. We are extremely happy with the end result and have already asked for quotes on other projects.

  Flashing fitted over bay window roof

  Following bad weather our bay window was showing water damage above and either side of the window. Alan from Strank Roofing came and surveyed the situation finding that there was no flashing between the roof tiles and exterior wall and the mortar that was there had cracked over time letting water in. He then rectified the situation by removing the mortar, replacing some damaged tiles and fitting flashing. All along he communicated well, was pleasant to chat to and we're very pleased with the quality of the work. Thanks very much

  Completely new front and back gardens including large driveway and patio.

  My family are so pleased that we chose Chase and the team at CA Garden Landscaping for this project. We recently moved into an old property that needed a complete renovation which included; excavating the entire front and back gardens, removing an air raid shelter, coal bunker and LOTS of concrete. Then they built a driveway, patio, put up new fencing and created new beds for planting and a lawn. Chase was meticulous in planning, offering plenty of helpful advice before and during the project. His team were very friendly and considerate of our neighbours. Thanks so much.

  Repointing of two chimneys and entire house

  Lee spent three weeks repointing our house including two chimneys. He was always punctual, tidy and polite. He went beyond what would normally be expected by getting quotes and arranging the scaffolding for the job. After a discussion about chimney pots he even went so far as to call me one weekend to discuss some he'd found that were what I was looking for and purchased them. He offered good advice throughout on what he felt did and didn't require attention and our neighbours also said they found him to be polite and considerate of them.   New television cabling installed to living room and bedroom.

  After moving into a new house. Graham arrived on time with short notice to provide a quote. He took a look at our requirements, gave a quote on the spot and agreed to do the work immediately. He gave advice on options as to where we could install the cabling and got stuck in climbing through overgrown bushes to get the job done. All along he was friendly, polite and courteous as our young son was in the process of going to bed while he was carrying out the work. I'd happily recommend him to others and intend to use him again in the future.

  Packed house contents and moved us to new property.

  Matthew and the team provided a very professional service in helping to move us from Ash Vale to Guildford. On the three times we saw them; when quoting, packing and moving us they arrived exactly on time, were very friendly, listened to our requests and gave advice. They took care with our belongings, especially our five year old son's toys so my family are very pleased that we chose Guildford Movers and would happily recommend to others.
