  Caused damage, denied it, and behaved dishonestly — avoid

  Booked Slough HomePro Ltd for £150 deep clean. Returned to find fresh black chemical stains on 1-yr-old oak worktop. When confronted, they claimed stains were pre-existing and showed me products they “used” - but hid oven cleaner. After they left, I discovered bin bag full of paper towels soaked in oven-cleaner residue matching the stains. They offered no meaningful solution, only £10 deduction and £10 stain remover, even though a professional repair is required. Because of the damage, I withheld payment, and they have since refused compensation. Unprofessional, dishonest, and careless.

  Toilet flush valve replacement

  Just bought my first flat and discovered on moving in that the toilet flush valve was broken. Tom quoted the best price of three quotes, responded promptly, and showed up quickly.
