  Professional repair to lintel

  Nathan @ Salopian Builders is a top bloke who has professionally repaired our damaged lintel, it looks neat and tidy. . He's given us a lot of help and advice about matters related to some potentially substandard work that we've had done in the past. Thank you. Would definitely use again.

  Fix the light that's not working

  Asked Ray to take a look at a light that is not turning on in our house. He said the switch and light need replacing, he changed these but the light still did not turn on. He looked at the wiring, tried to fix it with no success. Ray told me that he had to ask someone with the right equipment to come and repair it. This person was promised but never turned up. Ray said that he or this other person wouldn't be finishing the work off. So, I've got a new switch and light fitted but the light still doesn't work. I don't know whether or not these needed changing in the first place.

  Fitted ensuite

  Jon fitted an ensuite into a small cupboard. The finish looks good. However, Jon did not advise us that having the pipes leading from the new Saniflo toilet into the drain that is also used for the waste pipes from the kitchen could create horrible smells in the kitchen and the ensuite bathroom. Additionally, he incorrectly fitted the shower tray too low so the water couldn't flow into the macerator. He had to reroute the waste pipe from the shower directly into the external waste pipe. Not impressed with his workmanship.

  Cupboard fitted and curtain rail put up

  Michael fitted a cupboard. It looks good and its solid. However the shelf heights are adjusted by screws sticking out of the wall, shouldn't it be actual neat supports? He put a bolt lock at the very top of the cupboard which is very hard to get to. Inconvenient. He said he'd come back and put on the fittings. He never came even after saying he would and after multiple calls that he never picked up. Fitted a curtain rail back onto a solid exterior wall with plasterboard screws. I had to replace them and fill the big holes he drilled.

  Fitted new consumer box.

  Can't praise Richard enough. Was on time and on price. He told us an issue with our house that would make the work more difficult but gave a solution straight away. Very professional.
