  Excellent electrical job for garden cabin

  Dave did an excellent job installing electrical supply to the cabin in our garden. For the initial survey, Dave discussed ideas in understandable ways, to drive a plan for the job. Dave completed the job to plan in a very professional way, fitting a new consumer unit, running cables to the cabin, and installing sockets and lights.

  Replace soffits, fascias, and gutters

  McConnell Roofing did a great job replacing fascias, soffits, and gutters down the side of our bungalow. They had to investigate the supporting timbers, with some rework, and replaced dpc on the roof too. The side of there bungalow now looks great, and the gutters work well (without the leaking that existed before).

  Move light switch and wiring. Disconnect light

  Dave did a great job moving a light switch and more wiring, and disconnecting a down light. He also prepared wiring for an external porch light for a follow on job.

  Patio of slabs with brick retaining wall

  We're very pleased with everything from first discussions to our lovely new patio. From a basic sketch of our idea, Dan used his experience to suggest improvements to the design and materials. We needed a retaining wall built to support the patio on the garden slope. Dan and Riley were brilliant on the build, showing great skill in the groundwork, wall, and patio, on occasion working in horrendous rain. They were always prompt, courteous, and cleaned up every day. We strongly recommend them.

  Boiler service then boiler repair

  I found DWM Plumbing on checkatrade when looking for a gas boiler service. Dexter have the most positive response and provided the best quote. Dexter came and gave our boiler a good annual service as agreed, punctual, polite, and good price. Some months later, or boiler failed with an internal error that needed an engineer to fix, so I emailed Dexter. He replied quickly then came out the same morning and quicky identified and fixed the issue (Condenser partially blocked) and tested other aspects that might have contributed to three failure. Highly recommend.

  Cleared drains for blocked toilet.

  Called out late evening on bank holiday weekend!, but came quickly. Examined foul waste drain with camera, but found was clear so addressed the toilet pipe to junction manhole, which was soon cleared. Very courteous and polite, and explained the issues clearly. Recommend for plumbing and drainage help.

  New sockets, consumer unit, and wiring.

  Andy did a superb job converting existing sockets, adding more, installing a new consumer unit and preparing for power feed to outbuilding. He is dependable in his commitments to time and work, and does a very professional quality job. We're getting Andy back for more electrical work, and we recommend him well.

  Demolish chimney and restore roof, and internal ceiling and floor.

  Martin and the lads did a terrific job. They started a day early (by agreement) and in that day demolished the chimney to the floor, restored the external roof, restored the internal ceiling of the living room, and cleaned up. Being delayed by another company being 3 hours late to deliver a skip, the living room floor was restored a following day, in less than an hour. The work was performed at an impressive rate, with good skill and humour. I'd definitely recommend Marlee for building work, and will be contacting them again when the next stage of building plans are ready.

  Beech tree removed, stump removed and all wood removed from site. Pile of green waste removed.

  James and co did a fantastic job felling the very large beech tree in a tight corner of our garden. On the first day, they felled the tree, cut up into manageable parts, and shredded the smaller off cuts. On day 2, they ground out the large tree stump, and some other stumps, and removed the off cuts that we did not want to keep. James also helped a neighbor to take some off cuts. On both days, James and co cleaned up everywhere. From start to finish they were knowledgeable, skilled, polite, and good humoured; it was a pleasure having them around to do the work.
