  Check the the labour and materials used on the quote carefully BEFORE you pay him

  Sam built a pergola for me but unfortunately he massively overestimated the time and materials required. I paid because I didn't want him to be out of pocket, but he then refused to refund me anything. 40 emails and nearly a year later the court have found in my favour, but he has still not paid what the court says he owes. To cap it all off, the pergola was not fit for putpose and I had to have the roof replaced.

  Shave double doors just before wood flooring was being laid. I had been let down by another company.

  Sam was friendly, professional, extremely competent, and above all saved my bacon when I was let down by another company. He cheerfully helped carry furniture and cut some beading for another project while he was here just because he’s that kind of person. An absolute pleasure to have him on site, and will definitely use again.

  Design discussions and advice, and the removal of several trees and garden overhaul.

  Originally I contacted Andrew because I was concerned our canal bank was collapsing and I needed advice. We spent a delightful couple of hours sitting in the garden where I told him what I would love to do with the garden and he told me what was possible (which was pretty much everything), and the best news of all was he worked out a way to get rid of a hated stand of leylandii, and save the canal bank at the same time! He is knowledgeable, incredibly positive and his crew are lovely, tidy and efficient. A pleasure to have around.
