  Removing weeds from garden

  I put up a post on Checkatrade, asking for someone to remove a large amount of weeds from my garden and the surrounding paths. They quickly gave me a quote, and arranged to do it the next day. They did it the next day. (And also removed some junk for an extra fee, for an added bonus). They do what they say they will.

  Didn't make appointment twice. Didn't warn that he would miss either.

  He made an appointment doing working hours to see my house to give a quote. Not only did he not turn up, he didn't text or message me to say that he wouldn't turn up. (Only responding 50 minutes later after I messaged him). He said he forgot due to external matters. We arranged a follow-up meeting at the weekend, so that he could give a quote. He didn't turn up then either, or message me saying he wouldn't arrive. Waiting for over 90 minutes there. While I *fully* understand that trades can be busy or things can go wrong, standing up a customer twice without warning is not a good look.

  Roof replaced quickly and efficently

  Called in to look at my roof, and they gave a real review of what was needed (recommending a *cheaper* mid-term option than I went for). When I asked for a long term solution (roof replacement), they got it sorted quickly and without needed input from me. Very good value, and friendly to talk to. Some other reviews had trouble getting their guarantee quickly - I got mine after a polite reminder email and a week or two wait. Trivial in the scheme of things, and significantly less friction than other roofers I've dealt with. Would recommend!
