  Not the best

  Ian quoted £350/day plus materials to replace a lintel, but upon arrival—and before a close inspection—he downgraded the work to basic mortaring and painting. Despite the easy scaffold access, the quality was unprofessional: paint was dripped everywhere, a large splodge was left as a messy smudge, and he painted over the fresh mortar after only 1.5 hours. Visible cracks remain, suggesting the underlying issue wasn't addressed. Furthermore, he attempted to charge for a full day despite working only 3–3.5 hours.

  Leaking boiler pipe

  Jack was great! Reliable, good communication, polite, and fairly priced. Jack seems much more conscientious about his work than the plumber I bought my house from - Mike of Mikes Plumbing & Tiling installed a boiler but either didn't use sealant on the condensate pipe or didn't bother checking the pipe; subsequently, the slow leak damaged an interior brick wall. Mike's workmanship here is consistent with his terrible plumbing in the lounge and general bodging around the house. Jack cut and properly joined the pipe and the leak appears to have stopped. I will use Jack again. 5 Stars!

  Boiler service

  I just had the boiler serviced to meet the requirements of the warranty. As the boiler is only a year old I can't speak to the quality of work on it as there weren't any issues or improvements to comment on. What I can say is that they were polite, quick, clean, fairly priced, and very helpful (I asked them about a gas ring that wasn't working, they had a look and immediately identified and fixed the simple fault for me). I would use again and am happy to recommend them!

  Roofing - dry fix ridge system installed

  Can't fault these gentlemen, they answered all my questions and when I inquired if the system they used was BS 8612 compliant and included in BS 5534 they looked into it and sent a document showing that it was. I found the workmen tidy, courteous, pleasant, and helpful. from what I can see, the job was done well. I am very happy to recommend Britannia Roofing & Building!

  ECIRS2, installation of switch fuse spur, and relocation of existing socket

  5 stars - couldn't be happier! This electrician took pride in his work and as he was keen to ensure it was completed to a high standard. His fee was also very reasonable. Very professional, polite, tidy, and helpful. I'm happy to recommend Agb Electrical and have already done so to a friend of mine who owns several properties in Leeds.

  Sadly, I went with a cheaper/dishonest plasterer cut corners and skimped on materials, and did an awful job. I reached out to Roger when the other plasterer had left and asked if their plastering work needed to be reskimmed, retouched, or removed and the work done again. Roger was very kind and honest, he gave me advice, told me how much I should deduct from the other plasterers payment, and gave me guidance on how to patch things up myself. Roger clearly has an honest and strong work ethic, I will definitely use him for any future plastering work I need to do.

  Unfortunately, Roger wasn't available during my desired timeframe. However, I should have waited for him because the person I got was unpleasant and didn't do a professional job. After the other plasterer finished the job I contacted Roger for advice etc. Roger was very informative, helpful and honest. I will definitely be choosing him for any future work within his area of expertise and am confident in recommending him to others.
