  extricating stuck key

  Thanks Andy for messaging me so quickly after I posted on Checkatrade and for coming to extricate the key the next morning. Andy had advised me before he came as to how I might be able to solve the problem myself, however I have neither the tools nor the dexterity so was grateful for him to come. I am very pleased that he was able to get to me so quickly for a job that was not an emergency but allowed me to return my neighbour's key to her very quickly.

  Replace extractor pipe in loft

  This job has been closed by Checkatrade but it is still current. Mr Murganeanu has given me a quote and should be coming to undertake the work needed on Monday 19th February. So far he has explored the loft space, located the problem and hopefully will be replacing the pipework. I am not able to get into the loft myself and he helpfully took some photos to show me the problem. He has answered questions as to the kind of replacement possible and has also pointed out some other non-urgent problems with the roof-space. He carried out this initial assessment on Tuesday 13th February.

  Leaking tap

  Quick response, time and date agreed for earliest opportunity after Christmas, fixed my tap after obtaining a replacement part, advised on how to maintain the part, went over and above the spec by advising me how to turn off my main water supply (in a different area from the tap that was leaking). I wasn't sure whether I would be strong enough to turn off the main tap; being able to practice turning off the tap with Neil there gave me confidence to try, and I found I was able to do it. Thank you Neil.
