  Very rude and aggressive

  I recently gave a good review to this man, today the tank he fixed leaked so I phoned him to ask for help. I was met with a tirade of abuse and he said that he had done me a favour by coming out, despite him contacting me via Checkatrade. .After he calmed down he apologised and agreed to come out and check things for me. He then made me to send him photos and then phoned me to say I would probably need a new water tank and that he couldn’t do the work for weeks, he then told me he would not be coming out as it was nothing to do with him. He clearly did not do the work I paid for properly.

  Really great service

  Had a problem with failed work that was undertaken a few weeks ago by another plumber. Dan responded really quickly and sorted the problem out for me, an absolutely brilliant plumber, reliable and responsible. So relieved I have such a good tradesperson to call on.

  Great plumber cannot recommend highly enough

  Had an unexpected problem with water leaking through a light fitting. Dan responded same day and checked it out. Not able to deal with it then but made sure it was safe then came back the next day. He even went out to get me a new light bulb and came back to fix it for me. Hard working, professional and good prices. Great professional and very highly recommended. Will definitely use again for any plumbing issues.

  Excellent Plumber

  I discovered that my water tank was leaking this morning. I posted my job on Checkatrade in a bit of a panic and got an almost immediate call from Darran, He came out within a couple of hours and resolved the problem. I can't recommend DS highly enough, problem found and sorted within hours. Brilliant service that saved me from major stress so thank you DS Plumbing I wouldn't hesitate to use you again for my plumbing needs.

  Patio Door

  Posted my job on the 5th December, I was pleased to get a response from AK Professional Joinery on the same day. Said he would come out to quote the job and asked about my availability, I was available any time. On the 12th December I still hadn’t heard from him so mailed again, apparently he was now abroad until the 21st. Finally we arranged for him to visit on the 27th December at 4pm. In the event no-one came. So disappointed in AK Joinery as I really needed the job done promptly and feel I was badly let down. Worse still to me this behaviour is a red flag.

  Regrouting Patio and replacing shed step.

  My patio is now spoiled, the grouting is coming out, grouting was left all over the porcelain slabs and my fences and I can't get it off, grouting was left all over my table and decking. Now the water is not draining from the patio and it is staining it. He did not clear the mess when he replaced the step and has left a big gap. He also ripped the door trim of leaving nails sticking out and the door will have to be sanded down and a new strip fitted, there are also gouges out of the rim. All in all he has left me in a real mess which is still deteriorating.

  Kept on hold for over an hour, not interested in helping me

  I needed an emergency plumber for a burst pipe, as I always do I looked on Checkatrade to find a reputable company and decided to go with this company. I rang them and was put on hold, 30 minutes later I gave up. I then called again, twice my call was answered and twice I was put on hold again, this time I waited an hour for my call to be dealt with. This is not a company that cares about customer service and if my experience is anything to go by I would give them a miss. Really distressing when you have a plumbing emergency.

  Odd jobs and fittings

  I needed to find tradespeople urgently after a house move left me in a dreadful mess. I was lucky enough to find Home Fix who are based in Trowbridge, these guys really saved the day for me and I can’t thank them enough for getting me out of a real bind. They were all professional, nothing was too much trouble and they completed the necessary work speedily and with no fuss or hassle, they completely transformed my new home and I can finally enjoy it. I will be using them again for anything I need fixed around the house, Highly recommended.

  Cluster fly treatment

  Very courteous and prompt and am quite happy with that aspect. The treatment for the cluster flies just hasn't been very effective. I have had problems with cluster flies in the past and have always used smokes very successfully. I did tell ASW but was not offered anything and the advice I was given was to wait for a retreat until we have a hard frost. I cannot afford to have 2 treatments so can only say that I am really disappointed.
