  Professional work at a competitive price

  Facia damaged by BB pole. Colin removed the guttering, replaced the facia and re-attached the guttering. Looks fantastic and his bill was way below other quotes I had. I have used Colin on 3 jobs now and been very impressed with the quality of his work and his pleasant and professional manner. Highly recommended.

  Great work at reasonable rates

  Having posted my job (renew hinges on internal double glazed door) on Check a Trade and received little interest apart from one ridiculous quote and a visit from a tradesman who said he couldn't do it I remembered how Colin Jones had looked after me so well before. He came and assessed the job, gave me a quote on the spot and I booked him in. When he had received the new hinges he arrived bang on time for his appointment, did the job in a couple of hours and asked for less than he had quoted since he had been quicker than expected. No mess, perfect job with the doors now closing properly.

  Fixing Double-glazed Door

  Colin arrived on time and quickly assessed the problem with a jammed double-glazed door. It was fixed in 10 minutes - I was delighted as I was expecting to have to buy a complete new door! Very tidy and efficient. Colin is in my handyman address book from now on. Really great find on Checkatrade.

  Making and fitting new drawer fronts and doors to my non-standard kitchen

  I had asked a number of companies to quote for this job before finding Steve Hope. They all turned the work down because the kitchen units were almost all bespoke and all the doors and drawer fronts would have to be cut to fit. This did not deter Steve - he has done a superb job of manufacturing the items needed and fitting them with great skill and care. I really could not have been more satisfied with his work.

  Tiling Orangery

  From start to finish it has been a real pleasure to deal with Carpet Fayre. The advice we received from Ian in the showroom on the type of tile we might choose and help with selecting from their wide range on display has proved to be perfect, and we are delighted with the result. The base took a long time to dry as it was laid at the end of October and Dave visited on 5 occasions to test the dampness of the floor to ensure the tiles were only laid when the surface was dry enough. The tiler, Danny, was a real professional and very experienced. I unreservedly recommend this company.

  Terry was great. He phoned to say he would be a few minutes late, and was very polite and smartly dressed. He produced a fantastic finish in some pretty awful weather - absolute match for my metallic paint finish and no sign of the original damage could be sedn. Very pleased with the work.

  Fix Samsing Tab S2 tablet

  I cannot recommend Glentech more highly. Visited on Saturday morning with a sick Samsung tablet . Glen had a quick look and said he thought the battery was faulty and would confirm later. Same day I got a text confirming his diagnosis and a quote for the work (which was much cheaper than I had been offered online). I confirmed the contract and by pm Tuesday was Glentech phoned me to tell me the tablet was ready for collection. The repair even comes with a 12 month warranty! I am particularly confident with this excellent team as they actually have a shop you can visit. 5 Shining Stars!!

  Patio lifted and relaid

  Martin had to lift and relay a large (65 sq m) limestone paved patio which had been "dot-and-dabbed" by the original installer. He relaid it properly on a grit bed to the highest standard. I am absolutely delighted with the work, and, having seen a real professional at work, realise that I had been duped by my previous contractor who had assured me that his was the proper way to lay it. I could not recommend Custom Groundworks more highly. If you are having a patio or a driveway laid I would very strongly recommend approaching Martin for a professional and durable job.
