  Retaining wall and patio paving

  Because we live on a hill, the garden is on two tiers. The work was to replace the steps down to the bottom tier as they had crumbled away and to install a sleeper wall to replace the existing brick retaining wall which was starting to bow and would eventually have given way. Also included was work to pave the bottom of the garden in Indian sandstone. I’m very happy with the work that was carried out. It was completed to estimate, to a good standard and finishing, and in less time than originally suggested. The workmen were polite and respectful.

  Back door leading onto patio was not opening

  This was a door alignment issue. Joe attended the appointment as agreed and adjusted the alignment so that it didn’t jam and would open more easily.

  Landing light wiring

  We had a slightly tricky problem in the landing light was glowing when switched off. A few years ago we had an electrician come out on insurance and all he did was change the bulb to a more expensive one which temporarily masked the problem. However this issue had arisen again when trying to change the bulb and it seemed worse than last time. Wright & Wilson came promptly at the agreed time and found the cause of the problem (which was not obvious or straightforward) and fixed it. They charged a very reasonable fee for this work. Polite and courteous. I could not recommend them more.

  Fixed the lock on a porch door

  Porch door was not closing or locking properly. It’s very old and so it was a tricky problem to resolve. George fixed the problem by realigning the door and frame. I was extremely happy with the service. George was extremely polite and he resolved the problem for a reasonable price (I had previously called out another locksmith from a franchise and he had not been able to resolve the problem despite charging a call out fee.)
