  Boiler showing red alarm and clearly in need of repair.

  Overall, the company responded very quickly to my request for an engineer to visit, and gave me a time window for the following day. The engineer (Michael) called in advance to let us know when he would arrive. He then identified the problem and carried out the repair very quickly. He explained what the issue was and once fixed, took time to ensure everything was okay and that the boiler came back up to temperature. Great service!

  Decoration of hallways, ceilings and doors over two floors.

  Excellent work. Highly recommended. Bill provided a sensible quote for decoration of my hallway, staircase, ceilings and doors, and was always responsive to messages via Checkatrade. He completed the work, assisted by his colleague Tara, in good time and to a very high standard. My house now looks rejuvenated and I would have no hesitation in recommending Bill. He and Tara are also just very nice people and it was a pleasure to have them in the house!

  Bathroom Drain Clearance

  This was the second time I have used Argyle Drains Ltd. First to clear a blockage in a drain caused by a root growing through the pipe work: they isolated the issue using a video camera, cut the root away and flushed out the pipe work, all using equipment they had brought with them and taking less than half an hour. This time I had a slow flushing loo and bath: they quickly located the blockage (under a cover in our garage), and cleared this within minutes. Excellent same day service, at a fixed price, and clearly these guys know their business! I give them the strongest recommendation.

  Identification of a faulty lavatory, then sourcing and replacing with a new one.

  Peter is the plumber I’ve been looking for for quite a while. He’s really pleasant, punctual, and completes a good standard of work at reasonable cost. I would certainly go to Peter for future plumbing needs and recommend him highly.
