  Light fittings and rewiring

  Really happy with Pretty Wired. Sean quoted promptly, and then I had to delay the work for a few months. Communication was easy, and Sean gave me a few pointers on light fittings to select. When I then needed the work done at short notice, Sean was able to fit me in. Pete did the work itself. He was on time, considerate while in my place, and easy to deal with. The work was done to a high standard. Would recommend.

  Internal wall inspection

  I needed an engineer to visit and assess whether an internal wall was load bearing (and therefore structural) or not. James attended and carried out the work thoroughly. The written report was with me within 48 hours. Would recommend.

  Wren kitchen installation

  I engaged Dan's team at DO Building to remove my old kitchen and install a new medium sized Wren kitchen. My place is an old Victorian terrace flat, and so the walls aren't straight and floors not level. DO Building worked with this, leveling the floor and adapting how the cabinets were installed to ensure a level finish notwithstanding the bumpy walls. Dan's easy to communicate with, as is his site supervisor Bill. In general, I was really happy with the team's work. There were one or two timing and snagging issues that I raised with Dan, and which he arranged to have immediately fixed.

  Trimming and hanging an internal front door.

  Nice guy, however the quality of work was poor and cost me additional money to rectify. I booked services to trim and hang a front door that I supplied (brand new). He clearly has limited knowledge/expertise in door hanging. 1. Trimmed the door incorrectly, taking all the length off the top (rather than evenly on top and bottom) thus removing all lipping and damaging the door 2. Morticed hinges incorrectly 3. His saw ran out of battery after 20 mins and he said he'd come back in a week until I insisted he sort the issue ASAP. 4. I had to get another Checkatrade guy to fix

  Seeking quote for small extension

  Incredibly and inexplicably rude!!!  I submitted a general open request for a quotation.  Presumably Inar received the request.  I then received a missed call today.  When I called back, the person on the other end failed to identify themselves.  When they eventually did, they did not even ask for my name but instead said they are from Inar Constructions and "you're messaging all the time, you've left too many messages".  I've never messaged Inar directly - only through the 'request a quote' function on this site. Incredibly rude and I would never recommend.
