  Shower thermostat needed replacing

  I made it clear on the phone I knew the issue but didn’t know which thermostat it was. The lady assured me they carried them in the van (then found out there’s hundreds so was a lie). Engineer came and said he’d look for one but without taking it or measurements was unlikely. They then took the £120 for call out and quoted over £1000! I got it fitted a week later for £220 all in. So wasted £120 and they won’t refund me. Even though they record calls. My mum had used this company (we didn’t realise it was the same) and they quoted £8000 for replacing a small piece of flashing on the roof.
