Called them out to replace a kitchen worktop. The edges of the worktop have been cut with the wrong or blunt saw as it’s not a clean cut. The worktop now has jagged edges. The silicone between the worktop & tiles has to be the worst I have ever seen. No silicone tool was used, so it’s not a clean, straight bead of silicone. It’s like they applied the silicone with their fingers & left all the excess. They also had to remove tiles to get the worktop in & they used silicone around the entire edge of the tiles putting them back on! I have spent the day today trying to remove the silicone. Awful.
Response from Ylyt Limited
We completed the job precisely as the customer requested, yet they sought to complain for a refund. We offered to redo the silicone the next day with a white one, but they declined. There were no incorrect cuts; the photos on my page serve as clear evidence. I made it clear before we started that the tiles were of poor quality and at risk of falling out. We went above and beyond to reattach them, ultimately saving the customer money. There were significant gaps between the tiles and the worktop, and the customer chose to use clear silicone to fill those gaps, which only emphasized the issue.
