    The work, replacement of the heating element in a built-in Bosch dishwasher, was carried out promptly and efficiently by an experienced repairman. I had provided both the failure symptoms and the model reference so that he was able to come with the appropriate spare part, avoiding the need for a preliminary visit.

    Dishwasher not heating water

    I contacted W J Searle & son via checkatrade and within an hour they had replied and added me to their job list. It was late afternoon so I was contacted by Darren (their engineer) first thing the next morning to confirm the job and arrange a visit the following day. Darren was prompt, friendly, professional and fully informative/transparent about what he was doing and what he found. The dishwasher had to be taken to their workshop to be repaired, Darren called as soon as it was fixed and to organise it's return. Couldn't recommend Darren and WJ Searle & Son enough.

    My washing machine was fixed today by Darren, He called and also gave me the option to come earlier than the appointment time we had as he was in the area. I feel the cost was very reasonable and am very pleased with the service I received from W J Searle @ Son, thankyou Darren

We have a large showroom with an extensive range of products and are committed to our customers by providing a great service before, during and after every transaction. We offer a competitive repair service and can in most cases come out to you on the same day or next day to ensure you aren’t left without your appliance for longer than necessary!


Our lead engineer has been with us for many years and has great knowledge and vast experience in repairing and diagnosing faults and issues with domestic appliances. We offer repair services on freestanding and built-in washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigeration and more. Our engineers keep a good stock of spare parts so can often fix the problem on their first visit.

We offer repair services on all well-known brands out of warranty. Our engineers will always quote you the price of repair before proceeding and our fixed labour charge keeps repair costs to a minimum. However, if your machine is unrepairable or deemed uneconomical to repair, our engineers will offer advice on a new replacement product. If you purchase or rent from us, then no charge is made for our engineers visit, and we offer competitive prices and a great range of products, many available for free next day delivery. Please note - we do not repair gas or dual-fuel appliances.


We are open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm. Come in and see us, give us a call, send an email, or reach us on Facebook to arrange your service call.
