  C&R Withams construction did an excellent job demolishing and removing a very large old garden shed. Reliable and pleasant to deal with and a very reasonable price. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

  Fixing an external door which would no longer shut!

  My deceased father’s house at the other end of the country had been secured shut with a screw! I was wary about using a tradesperson I didn’t know which is why I used Checkatrade. Clay from Whitham’s construction went out to look at the problem and was able to fix it there and then. He also took a video of the problem to show me what he had done. I was so relieved that dad’s house was secured and had a working front door again. Clay communicated at all stages by text and really inspired my trust. I would definitely approach him first for future jobs.

  We needed a hallway cupboard built and floor board repaired.

  The workmanship was superb and Clay was a joy to deal with. I am very pleased with my hallway ‘nook’. Once painted I will post photos too.

  Personnel door and surround installation

  The first time we have advertised on Checkatrade and the experience was amazingly successful. Our advert for fitting of a garage personnel door and surround was almost instantly answered by Clay of Withams and he was round the next day to review the work required and advise a fair price. We agreed a date for the work and he turned up ontime, completed an excellent installation and then cleaned up after himself (cleaner than when he arrived). I would not hesitate to recommend Withams Construction to anyone for similar, or more extensive, workscopes.

  Friendly, quick and good workmanship.

  Very happy with the work and service provided. Job involved adding a false wall to provide sound insulation, with fitting of wood slat panelling, coving and skirting, mounting a large TV and some speakers to the wall. Additionally redecorating a wall by removing wallpaper, patching up and painting. The chaps arrived promptly, worked hard and got it done in just two days. They tidied up after each day and didn't mind my inquisitive dog. Recommended.
