  Darren was so helpful. He dramp-proofed our kitchen walls several years ago and came back free of charge to check them for me. My kitchen cupboards have been a bit damp but turns out it's due to ventilation rather than rising damp, so that's a relief. Thank you! Jocelyn

  Fixing old house

  I rang Darren to explain I was buying an older house and asked him to pick up keys from estate agent so he could tell me what needed doing This was no trouble at all and within a couple of days I was updated with what needed doing. When I eventually got the keys for the house I met Darren at the house which needed woodworm treatment throughout and damp treatment. We arranged a date to start just a week later. Darren kept me informed the whole time with photographs and talked through any issues Really pleased with how it all went was completely stress free Highly recommended

  Absolutely delighted with work carried out!

  Darren and his team have recently completed a full damp proofing of our basement room, which was suffering from peeling paint and degrading flooring. We had no idea what to do but Darren visited and explained the work needed thoroughly. His wealth of knowledge really shows and we are very thankful to have asked Darren to carry out the works. They worked really hard for all the time they were here and went above and beyond to make sure we had a high quality result. Having seen the work carried out and what they did, we have absolutely no concerns about the damp returning and can recommend 100%

  Wet rot treatment

  I'm so glad we found Darren on Checkatrade. He came when he said he would, identified the problem (wet rot in our dining room) and sorted it out for us with no fuss. He is incredibly knowledgeable and reliable and has decades of experience in the trade. He gave great advice and was also able to help us with other things - treating our rafters for woodworm, fixing floorboards, stitching some brickwork in our chimney and he's hopefully coming back to sort a structural issue with our garage too. An absolutely great guy, trustworthy and reliable. Thank you Darren and Clive!
