Aerial to lounge, threw cable over the roof to dining room instead of under the floor boards. So he charged me over double the original quote. Also went through my decking with the ladder and did not apologise. The bedroom tv was no longer working. Tried to call John about this, he hung up on me and then would not take my calls. He had not completed the job putting the tv on the dining room wall and was going to charge me a lot more for this. I bought cables, bracket and my son in law put it up for a fraction of cost. New aerial guy who fixed bedroom said John’s total cost 3 times his very wrong
Response from UFO Aerials
A surprising review, especially when the customer was very happy with the quality of workmanship, and made a point of saying, several times “You’re amazing!” “You’re doing a fantastic job” and “Very neat” but more importantly, the customer was shadowing me the whole time I was on site, watching, listening, and responding to my questions. The flattery and invasion of my personal space by the customer towards me, made my female assistant feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
The customer was always involved in the decision-making process, when the original plans quoted for, had to be modified to suit the issues arising on the day:
1. New Aerial.
2. Customers change of mind to now keep the lounge floorboards undisturbed, meant that the only other option for the cable-run was to go over the terraced roof, as there was no loft.
The decking was rotten.
The dining room tv set up was not part of the original quote.
I believe the customer wrote these comments at the heat of the moment out of spite.
