  This is the second time we've used Phil to do some work. Very skilled carpenter. Great attention to detail, very helpful in advising best way to do the job. Virtually no mess. Fair pricing. In summary, I like his work and I have no hesitation recommending him to others.

  Phil will solve it

  Phil advised on our concerns about our front door security. He devised a simple, effective and economical solution by addition and replacement of locks, hinges and bolts.. We knew we could rely on him as he has helped us out before by effective resolution of tricky joinery / carpentry issues. In addition to being a skilful and meticulous craftsman who is completely reliable he is creative, inventive and practical. It's always a pleasure to see Phil and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

  Bedroom built in wardrobes.

  We have had Phil from Tops Timber around twice now, he very skilled at his work, reliable and offers advice where needed. Also very reasonably priced for the quality of his work, would use him again for any of our carpentry needs.

  Phil has legendary status in our house. If there’s wood involved or it needs building, “better call Phil”. His finishing is excellent and his standards are high. He is also priced correctly. To top it all off, he has a fun sense of humour and I thoroughly enjoy his company whenever he is doing any work for us.

  Custom built alcoves

  Phil did a fantastic job building our alcoves. He was on time, fast-working, and incredibly precise and detailed in his work. Everything was done thoroughly, and he kept the space neat, tidy, and was very considerate throughout. I would highly recommend his work, we’re really happy with the result.
