Previous owner of the property had accidentally switched off the boiler, and also had a dripping sound, Engineer came in switched the flick on the boiler and then said the dripping sound was old pipes, no investigating or testing carried out, sent a invoice £120 Height prices for minimal work

Do not recommend the use of this company. Fred came round unpacked cooker from box. Did not materials to extend pipe existing pipe work by 0.9m to the other side of new cooker. Wasted time and said he had to carry out unnecessary gas test. I was charged £178 for unboxing a cooker and not installing. Said he would come back to finish the job. Despite numerous texts and phone calls never returned. Had to pay another installater to do the job

The plumber drained the heating system, removed old rad, upgraded pipework to fit the new one, installed the new rad, and finally refilled the system. Additional work was to remove and cap a 2nd rad. Overall the job looks good, new rad works fine. Before the job we were quoted 170 + VAT. We got an invoice for 512 + VAT because "the system took too long to drain & refill" !!! Note the system has a refill loop + drain valve that are easy to operate (both me and my wife know how to drain / refill / bleed the rads). Avoid !

Prompt, professional, thorough

Woke up this morning and no hot water. Phoned ThePlumbers.org who answered straight away and said he hoped he could arrange somebody to come today if not tomorrow and gave me an hourly rate. Carlo turned up a couple of hours later. He got straight to work and the issue was quickly sorted. He also discovered a leak and fixed that. Excellent service and a fair price - recommended.

Overall happy with the job and availability. The price was a bit higher than what I expected. After speaking with them the final price it actually includes the time for the plumber to go and purchase any spares from a local store. I was not aware but this may be an industry standard practice. Next time I will ask to price the job rather than hourly rate.
