Good communication and work on the day (6 internal doors fitted) seemed fine. One door handle broke a few months later, however. We contacted The Cornish Carpenter who said he would charge us to return to look at the issue. We asked and paid a local carpenter to carry out the repair. In his opinion the handle had been fitted too tight originally, causing the internal mechanism to snap.
Response from The Cornish Carpenter
Hi Ann,
Following several messages between myself and your husband, it was deemed that the handle had been forced a little too hard and thus broke the mechanism inside the handle. I did inform your husband of this at the time and because this issue was through no fault of my own, having fitted the handles correctly and with the correct fixings (through bolts) I would have to charge a small fee to pop back and rectify the issue which would include a new handle.
I take reviews and customer after care very seriously. A quick look back at my 90+ reviews on CheckaTrade will show this.
