10 Knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy and thorough

Colin is very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. He helped us with boiler installation & maintenance, but also with an issue we had regarding our foul water pipework. We had nearly completed an extension to the house, but our builder went bankrupt and did not complete the final sign off (required by building control). Colin assessed the installation of all our waste pipes (toilets, showers, bath, sinks etc) to the sewer, advised what was required for us to pass and then made the relevant changes to ensure we passed the building inspection. Very pleased with our experience with Surrey Boiler Services Ltd. Arrived the same day as we phoned them to make an appointment, booked us in at 3.30 pm - 4.30 pm. The service man was very polite and friendly and sorted out the problem very quickly and had the necessary part in his van. So central heating back on again, what a relief !! After a fault code came up on our old boiler I called Surrey Boiler Services and they looked at the problem the same day. The parts to fix were too costly, Colin advised that it would be better to replace the aging boiler. Having worked as a domestic gas engineer for almost 35 years (part of that working for one the UK’s leading gas suppliers) I am highly experienced and knowledgeable in my field and proud to be one of the longer standing members of Checkatrade.
I began work in this industry with my dad, who is now retired, and I have happily continued with the family business.
Although primarily I am a gas engineer, covering all aspects of gas boiler, gas fire and gas cooker installation, I am highly skilled and practiced in all boilers wiring too and ducted warm air heaters. I have also over the years built up a portfolio of other skills which allow me to complete most jobs all by myself. This could include aspects such as carpentry, tiling, plastering etc. as well as fit bathrooms to an extremely high spec.
