Beware, this trader doesn’t carry a proper annual boiler service. Before coming to service it, Dan seemed nice and reliable, he was chatty and friendly when he came in, but didn’t really do an annual service, which includes cleaning the components of the boiler in particular if this needs to be done because of some issues. Instead Dan said I needed to replace some parts, which was going to cost me a lot more than the initial price. No invoice received, no proper job, no wonder he was cheaper than everyone else.
I definitely do DO NOT recommend him, unless you want to spend more than you should

You see this is sometimes the problem we encounter when we explain that new seals, electrodes, and burner seal is required for a service because boiler is over 5 years old, your response to me was..and I quote, money is tight, surely a service clean would fix the banging noise on startup, while on the job there was no record of a single bit of maintenance or poor service from any gas engineer since the boiler was installed. A new burner seal was required to clean the heat exchanger and reseal to make safe.
